Indio

We celebrated my dad's 60th birthday with all 5 of his brothers and sisters, his parents, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, children, grandchildren, and more. We all met at the Worldmark resort in Indio, CA. I think there were 36 of us. I was all prepared to take millions of pictures during the whole event but I think the sun fried my brain and all I can think about now are all the pictures I didn't get. I did not get a picture of all the framed photos we set around the room of my dad at various stages of life. I did not get a picture of my mom and dad together. I did not get a picture of the grandkids in their cute t-shirts inspired by my dad's little league team. Do you think everyone will want to recreate the event so I can take more pictures?

Here are some of the pictures I did take:

Craig and Sandy working hard on the crossword puzzle:

Chloe, Lauren, and Kristin. I doubt they are working on the crossword puzzle but I don't know what they're looking at.
All six of the Walker kids

My mom worked hard on planning everything including a crossword puzzle with words and clues from my dad's life and a special musical number by the grandkids. Jessica came up with the words and the kids sang (to the tune of "Take Me Out to the Ballgame):

Take me over to Papa's

Take me over there now!

I want my uppies and some ice cream

and then maybe we could go swimming

So it's root, root, root for our Papa

He's our number one guy!

He is turning 60 years old

He's our Papa Bear!
